Intruder Breaks in, Moves Stuff Around: Police Blotter

The following information was provided by the Fairlawn Police Department

Police are looking into an odd break-in at a business in which the intruder moved things around, but apparently didn't steal anything.

The employee at Electric Impulse Inc on Kumho Drive told police she got to work June 25 and found her desk lamp didn't turn on.

She soon discovered why -- it had been unplugged. When she turned on her computer, she got a message about it being shut down improperly -- but she knew she had shut it down correctly the previous evening.

She then discovered the desk had been moved about a foot.

Nothing else was amiss, and nothing was stolen.

The woman told police that about a year and a half ago, she left the building to take her dog outside and returned to fin a man standing behind her desk.

She reported the incident at that time, as well.
