After several months of deliberation, the Bath Township Trustees appointed Vito Sinopoli to fill the township administrator position. Sinopoli will transition into administration within a week. Sinopoli will replace Bill Snow who has been administrator since 2000. Snow announced he would retire in June to protect his pension from changes at the state level. Snow was then rehired in August for an interim period to help train whoever trustees picked as the new administrator. Snow's last day is March 31, 2013. The search for Bath Township's next township administrator has been narrowed to three applicants: Vito Sinopoli, Bill Snow and Sharon Troike. All three applicants already work within the district. The search started in June when Township Administrator Bill Snow announced he was retiring to protect his pension from changes at the state level.He said he wasn't ready to retire, but had to make the decision to protect himself and his family. He asked trustees to consider rehiring him. Thirty-three people applied for the position, said Trustee Becky Corbett. Burchard has been the village manager since November 2003, according to his resume. He is responsible for the development and implementation of the $4.5 million budget and the supervision of financial audits. He also served as finance director and managed to reduce the village's debt from $9 million to $4.2 million. Before serving as the village manager, Burchard worked as assistant to the village manager.
