A Bath Township man was in the Acme Fresh Market parking lot on Sept. 12 when he heard an Acme employee allegedly say something offensive, according to a Bath police report. Bath police Chief Michael McNeely said the man heard the employee use inappropriate language, so he walked up to the employee and snapped his photo with his cell phone. The employee followed the man into the store and they both started yelling, the report said. McNeely said the employee took the man's phone and threw it through the store. The fight did not get physical, but the report said the employee threatened the man. However, the man did not want the police to investigate the threat. Operating a vehicle while intoxicated, prohibited concentration and operation without reasonable control: On Wednesday, August 3 at 12:16 a.m., a Bath Police officer witnessed a man fall off his motorcycle on North Cleveland-Massillon Road. When the officer arrived at the crash scene it did not appear that the man needed medical attention. However, the officer did detect a strong odor of alcohol. According to a police report, the man seemed confused. The man failed several sobriety tests. The motorcyclist was then arrested and taken to the Richfield Police Department, where it was determined that his blood alcohol level was more than twice the legal limit. My daughter used to work at that store. You should hear some of the stories she told me about the rude customers. It is pretty hard to constantly deal with that, particularly when you aren't paid that well. Working the registers is the worst.
