If flowers make your sweetheart sneeze and diamonds aren't in the budget, there's always chocolate. According to the National Confectioners Association, more than 36 million heart-shaped boxes of chocolate will be sold for Valentine's Day. And that doesn't include all the boxes of Malley's chocolate-covered strawberries! Forrest Gump said, "Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you are going to get." What Forrest didn't say is that there's nothing quite like biting into one of the chocolates and finding out it's the one you hate (coconut, ugh!). Share which chocolate treat you love. To celebrate Valentine's Day, One of a Kind Pets is highlight their cat "couples." These are brother and/or sister pairs that cannot go to separate homes because they need each other to survive. From now until the end of Feburary, you can adopt one of these couples for $14 total. They have all their required shots and have been spayed or neutered. Regular Adoption fees: Dogs 6 months and older are $200. That includes up-to-date vaccinations, heart worm tests, flea prevention, microchip, spay/neuter and a rabies shot. Puppies to 6 months are $250 and include the same preventatives as above. Senior dogs are $150 and include the same preventatives as above. Cats are $80.
