Shoplifter Scuffles with Mall Security, Threatens Officer's Life

Information provided by the Fairlawn Police Department.

A 19-year-old Akron woman was seen shoplifting in Pacific Sunwear in Summit Mall and tried to get away through Dillard's, according to a Fairlawn police report. When a mall security guard approached the woman as she was leaving, she began yelling and ran through the Dillard's parking lot, the report stated.  The security guard caught up with the woman in the lot and the shoplifter charged the guard a small physical fight started until another security guard intervened, the report stated. When police officers took the woman away, she told the guard, "I'm coming back for you white (expletive), you ain't safe," the report stated. Woman Tries to Grab Cash Register Money, Threatens to Punch Store Manager

Information provided by the Bath Township Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

A Toledo woman walked into the Shell True North gas station on Dec. 3 and attempted to reach into the cash drawer while making a purchase, according to a Bath Township police report. Alaysha Williams, 21, became aggressive and began reaching over the counter, the report stated. When a manager saw her, she told Williams she wasn't allowed to reach for the drawer and Williams threatened to punch her. While at the police station, Williams admitted she was trying to short-change the cashier. This is the second arrest Bath police have made in a short-change scam. Read the first report here. Man Threatens to Drag Worker to Cemetery for Not Accepting Return

Information provided by the Fairlawn Police Department.

Call it a case of the return policy blues: Fairlawn police charged a 54-year-old Akron man with menacing after he repeatedly called Target to threaten an employee who would not accept his return, a police report said. The man was previously banned from the store for stalking the employee. On June 7, he began calling the store and asked for the employee. When the operator transferred him to a store manager, the man would hang up, call back and threaten the operator, the report said. The man told the operator, "Put me through to (employee) right now or I will get you," the report said. Later he called back and told the operator "If you don't put me through right now, I will come up there and mess you up. You will be surprised what I can do …
