Spring Comes Alive at I-X Home & Garden Show: Take A Peek

Landmarks, landscapes and exhibitors out in force at this year's event

  More than 650 exhibitors are at this year's Great Big Home & Garden Show at the I-X Center. The 2013 show also features a Garden Showcase in the South Hall which includes elaborately landscaped exhibits inspired by landmarks, such as Cedar Point, Central Park, Augusta National Golf Club, Wrigley's Field and Napa Valley. Also featured is a fully constructed, 4,000-square-foot Idea Home sponsored by Sherwin-Williams and Cleveland Magazine and built by Perrino Builders. Great Big Home & Garden Expo Starts Feb. 4

Show runs through Feb. 12 at I-X Center.

  The Great Big Home & Garden Expo presented by Time Warner Cable returns to Cleveland’s I-X Center Feb. 4-12. The show features more than 650 exhibitors and appearances by home and garden celebrities. New features and attractions at this year’s show include: • The Home Builders Association Pavilion will showcase the latest energy-efficient products. Great Escape: Get a Taste of Spring at Akron Home and Flower Show

Blooming gardens and celebrities highlight 17th annual Home Builders Association show at the John S. Knight Center.

If last week’s small taste of spring left you hungering for more, the Akron Home and Flower Show’s feature gardens offer another sample of what’s to come. This week’s Great Escape features more than 7,000 square feet of flower-filled gardens, loads of information about gardening trends, cooking demonstrations and presentations from conservationist Ed Begley Jr. and celebrity home-improvement expert Matt Fox, co-host of the PBS show “Around the House with Matt and Shari,” according to the show’s sponsor, the Home Builders Association (HBA) serving Summit and Portage Counties.
