Post an announcement or photo on Patch to let us know if your student athlete has made plans for college.
National Signing Day on Wednesday, Feb. 6, is a big day for many student-athletes, and we would love for you to share their accomplishments on Fairlawn-Bath Patch. For some high school senior athletes, it's a day they make their college plans official. It's something to take pride in, and we would love to help parents, coaches and athletic directors spread the word. Patch has several ways in which you can share the news about student-athletes from Revere High School or Copley High School. Start spreading the news today on Patch!

Jason Tretter played offensive tackle with the Revere Minutemen.
Former Revere Minutemen football Coach Phil Heyn has announced that senior offensive tackle Jason Tretter will sign on with Purdue University on signing day. Tretter has been offered an athletic scholarship that accepted, passing on other offers from Kent State University and Toledo. Heyn said Tretter was also garnering attention from schools such as Virginia and Duke, as well as Harvard and Yale. Tretter was named 2nd Team All-Ohio this year as well as his sophomore year. Unfortunately Tretter missed all of his junior year after suffering a knee injury. Signing Day is Feb. 6. Congratulations, Jason!

Here are several ways you can make sure your sports teams are highlighted on Fairlawn-Bath Patch.
Fall sports have started and Patch wants to help you share every exciting moment with the community. We are looking for athletes, coaches, parents, booster club members and fans who are ready, willing and able to share their team spirit on Patch. News about any team—high school, middle school, rec teams, etc.—is welcome. Here's how you can share news about your sports team: 1. Start a blog about your sports team: Share stats, recaps, photos and/or videos from the game in your own sports blog. Discuss the team, coaches and players with other fans in the community (but please keep it civil). Don Ostapowicz already blogs for Patch about the Copley Indians. Emma Weihe, a junior at Revere High School blogs about the Revere High Minutemen …

Dick "Holt" Gray among nine recognized at annual awards ceremony
Dick "Holt" Gray had one perfect season -- a 10-0 record -- in his first year as head coach of the Copley High School football team. It was an accomplishment he would never again repeat. However, Gray accomplished much more than his winning season. For more than three decades he was a valued role model and mentor at the high school as a math teacher, a coach and director of school athletic events. Gray was posthumously inducted into the Copley Athletics Hall of Fame Dec. 11. He also was the first recipient of the Meritorious Service Award, a designation included for the first time this year. "He ran a first-class organization," said Jim Borchik, the school's athletic director. The West Virginia native was known to let out the signature …
