How to Get Your Sports Team Featured on Patch

Here are several ways you can make sure your sports teams are highlighted on Fairlawn-Bath Patch.

Fall sports have started and Patch wants to help you share every exciting moment with the community. We are looking for athletes, coaches, parents, booster club members and fans who are ready, willing and able to share their team spirit on Patch. Start a blog about your sports team: Share stats, recaps, photos and/or videos from the game in your own sports blog. Discuss the team, coaches and players with other fans in the community (but please keep it civil). Don Ostapowicz  already blogs for Patch about the Copley Indians. Hall of Fame Honors Copley Coach

Dick "Holt" Gray among nine recognized at annual awards ceremony

Dick "Holt" Gray had one perfect season -- a 10-0 record -- in his first year as head coach of the Copley High School football team. It was an accomplishment he would never again repeat. However, Gray accomplished much more than his winning season. For more than three decades he was a valued role model and mentor at the high school as a math teacher, a coach and director of school athletic events. Gray was posthumously inducted into the Copley Athletics Hall of Fame Dec. 11. He also was the first recipient of the  Meritorious Service Award, a designation included for the first time this year.  "He ran a first-class organization," said Jim Borchik, the school's athletic director. The West Virginia native was known to let out the signature …
