Copley High Valedictorian Awarded Siemens Merit Scholarship

Jessica Alexander graduated from Copley High earlier this month.

Jessica Alexander, co-valedictorian of Copley High School's Class of 2012, has been awarded a Siemens Merit Scholarship for $4,000. Jessica is one of 150 students in 25 states to win. Jessica will receive four installments of $1,000 through her four years of college. Jessica will attend Ohio Northern University in the fall to study pharmacy. The Siemens Merit Scholarship is an award given to children of Siemens U.S. employees. Winners were chosen based on high scores on the PSAT as well as academic record, activities, contribution to the community, school recommendation and an essay about personal characteristics, plans and goals. This year the Siemens Foundation awarded close to $600,000 in scholarship funds on behalf of participating …

The Farewell Speeches from the Class of 2012

Revere High School and Copley High School graduated their Class of 2012 at 2 p.m. Sunday.

Here they are, the speeches from the valedictorians and salutatorians of Revere High and Copley High. The seniors from both schools graduated at 2 p.m. on Sunday. Daniel Li and Edwin Zhang worked together for their Revere High co-salutatorian speech, and Annie Sun and Cindy Lin worked together on their co-valedictorian speeches. Everything You Need to Know About Graduation

Revere High and Copley High will graduate the class of 2012 Sunday.

Both Copley High and Revere High's Class of 2012 will take the stage on Sunday and if you're a parent, here are some things you need to know. Copley High: Graduation will be held in the Copley High School gym at 2 p.m. Doors open at 12:30 p.m. A ticket is required to get into the event, however ticket distribution has already ended. There are two valedictorians, Jessica Alexander and Michael Dugan. Micki Gallien, student council president, and Emma Webb, senior class president, will also give commencement speeches. There will be a reception after the ceremony.
