Haunted Halls, a haunted house at Copley High School sponsored by the Healthy Communities/Healthy Youth (CHCY) will take place fro 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday (October 22nd) at Copley High School, 3807 Ridgewood Rd. Tickets are $6. A $1 coupon is available at www.copley-fairlawnchcy.org). Haunted Halls is geared to children who are at least middle-school age or older. There also is a CHCY adult committee meeting on the 22nd at 9:00 a.m. in the Copley High School Choir Room. Here's what's going on at your local schools.
Copley-Fairlawn Middle School will host a series of talks on bullies Tuesday, Oct. 11. Sue Tucker, community outreach director of the Summit County Domestic Relations Court, will speak to students at the Middle School during the day and covering such topics as what bullying is as well as strategies for dealing with bullies. Tucker will also make a presentation to the staff and at 6:30 p.m. she will conduct a meeting with parents. She will discuss signs of bullying and signs of bullying to watch out for in children who are not comfortable asking for help. In addition to Friday night football at Copley High School where the Indians will host the Wadsworth Grizzlies at 7 p.m., Copley will also host a Senior Parent Night. This event will begin at 6:30 p.m. and will recognize seniors who have participated in Cross-Country, Golf, and Tennis. Copley High School is located at 3807 Ridgewood Rd.
