Fairlawn Police Blotter: Assault, Theft and Counterfeit Bills

Assault A Norton man was arrested Friday after an argument with another man who refused to replace him at work. According to a police report, Joshua Bonner, 18, came to the home of Alex Szalay, of Fairlawn Friday afternoon to ask that Szalay work his shift at Aladdin’s Restaurant. Witnesses said when Szalay refused to work Bonner’s shift, the man punched him in the head and fled the house. Szalay, 18, sustained a one to two-inch cut over his left eye that required stitches. Bonner showed up at the Fairlawn Police Department later that day with his mother, but he refused to give a written statement.
