Here's the third installment in a three-part series about the hottest topics in Fairlawn and Bath Township for 2012.
There's a lot happening in Fairlawn and Bath at any one time, but there are three topics that people buzzed about most this year: panhandling, Rothrock Road and crime. There was a lot of crime in the city and township this year. Here are the five most-read.
Police and Fire is one of the most-read sections on Fairlawn-Bath Patch each day. But in 2012 there were five stories that took top billing as the most popular stories on the site. We've rounded them up in one post for you, in case you missed it. Check back tomorrow as we list more site favorites of 2012. 1. A Massillon man had a hard time paying his cab fare back in July and thought maybe the driver would accept marijuana. That man ended up in jail. And the winner is: Swenson's! Whether it's the squeaky pickles or all that gooey cheese, 59 percent of Fairlawn-Bath Patchers chose Swenson's as having the best burger in town. View the poll results here. People reviewing the restaurant in Patch Places said the Galley Boy is the best burger in Akron, and others said it's the best burger, period.
