Bath Township Horse Show Opens Saturday
Annual fire department fundraiser brings hundreds of horses and riders to the township.
The Bath Township Fire Department has equipment to rival many a big city agency. The township's state-of-the art gear includes: high pressure breathing air compressor, scuba equipment, uniforms to protect firefighters from blood-born pathogens, fire trucks capable of carrying 5,000 gallons of water, heavy duty smoke ventilation fans and high wattage portable lighting. Much of the cost for equipment, maintenance and training necessary keep firefighters safe is at least partially paid for by Bath Fire Department Horse Show. The horse show has been an annual event for the last 62 years. It is the project Bath Fire Department Inc., a non-profit fund-raising agency.
