Five Things You Should Know This Week

Discuss books, attend a City Council meeting, visit a farmers' market.

1. You don't need to sign up or be a member to attend the free "Anything Goes" Book Discussion to be held from 1 to 2 p.m. today at the Fairlawn-Bath Library. 2. Fairlawn City Council will meet at 6:30 tonight in council chambers at Fairlawn City Hall.  3. The Bath Business Association's Farmers' Market will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday at The Bake Shop in Ghent in Bath Township. 4. Stan Hywet Hall is decked out for the holidays during "Deck the Hall: Joys of Christmas Past 25 Nights – A Half a Million Lights," being held from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday. 5. Kids ages 9-14 can create holiday presents during the Fairlawn Parks and Recreation Department's "Gifts from Nature" Craft Session at 4:30 p.m. Friday.

1. Fairlawn City Council will meet at 6:30 tonight in council chambers at City Hall. 2. Meet legendary sports broadcaster Joe Tait and award-winning sportswriter Terry Pluto between 7 and 8 p.m. Tuesday at Barnes & Noble Booksellers in Fairlawn. 3. Healthy Heritage LLC will be running the Bath Business Association's Farmers' Market from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday at The Bake Shop In Ghent. 4. Thursday is Thanksgiving (I guess we didn't really need to tell you that one)! 5. Visit with Santa, do some caroling and eat some cookies when the Bath Business Association presents its 8th annual Wye Road Bridge Lighting Festival starting at 5:30 p.m. Friday.
