Five Things You Need to Know Christmas Week

It's a busy time of year, here's a few things that might otherwise fall through the cracks.

In Fairlawn at 6:30 p.m. tonight (Dec. 20), city council will decide whether to pass legislation that would block off portions of Rothrock Road and Rosemont Boulevard. Traffic on those residential streets is expected to increase if Wal-Mart goes through with a proposal to close its stores in Rosemont Commons in favor of a new retail center to be built in Copley Township. The meeting takes place in council chambers at 3487 Smith Road. You can still take a moment to help out someone who has been less fortunate this year. Monday also is the last day that new, unwrapped toys will be accepted at the Fairlawn collection point for Toys for Tots inside the Five Below, 3879 Medina Road. Students in Copley-Fairlawn and Revere Schools are underfoot …
