Hudson Wine Festival Celebrates Fifth Anniversary

Connecting For A Cause is pleased to announce the fifth annual Hudson Wine Festival, a benefit for PAWSibilities Humane Society of Greater Akron.

The Hudson Wine Festival will showcase over 150 wines from local, national and international producers as well as select craft beers.  Guests will enjoy musical entertainment, delectable food from Nosh Eatery & Creative Catering, artists and vendors along with various raffles throughout the weekend.

“We are excited to celebrate the 5th anniversary of the Hudson Wine Festival and continue our efforts to rescue and find homes for abandoned, neglected and injured animals in our area.” said Karen Hackenberry, Executive Director for PAWSibilities® Humane Society of Greater Akron.

The Hudson Wine Festival will take place Friday, July 20 from 4 – 9 p.m. and Saturday, July 21 from 1 – 9 p.m. along Village Way in the beautiful First & Main shopping district.  Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door and include 10 tastings and a souvenir wine glass.  Additional tastings are 10 for $5 at the event.

In addition to the craft beer this year, the festival will also feature many new elements including a full pour beverage bar, a relaxation station and a community pet expo on Saturday, July 21st with an interactive demonstration from BARK (Buckeye Area Regional K9) and informative seminars as well as pet related products.

Tickets can be purchased online at www.hudsonwinefestival.com as well as at local Discount Drug Mart stores, The Learned Owl Book Shop, In Style Accessories and the PAWSibilities office in Twinsburg.

“We look forward to another successful event and supporting PAWSibilities.  Our continued partnerships with First & Main, Adams Reserve, Rubber City Radio Group and now Discount Drug Mart will enable us to cast a wider net in the community and generate additional awareness for the many animals that are in need” said Debra Sherman, president of Connecting For A Cause.

The Hudson Wine Festival has raised more than $65,000 for the Humane Society over the past four years and hosted over 7,000 guests last year.  For more information on becoming a part of the Hudson Wine Festival, please contact Debra Sherman at 330-256-8704 or visit www.hudsonwinefestival.com.
