Meet Patch Editor Megan Rozsa at the Bath Horse Show Today

Check out the Fairlawn-Bath Patch booth at the Horse Show for a chance to win a $25 gift card to Gasoline Alley!

The Annual Horse Show starts today at 9 a.m. at the corner of North Revere and Everett roads. New to the show this year are informational booths for different community organizations, and Fairlawn-Bath Patch is one of them!

Stop by the booth today to meet Editor and Regional Editor Susan Patton. You might even earn some Patch swag. Plus, if you sign up for our daily e-newsletter, you'll be entered into a drawing to win a $25 gift card to !

Each year, Bath Fire Department Inc., a non-profit fund-raising agency, hosts the to raise money for the department. The money is used to buy fire equipment, such as the got earlier this year.

The show is held at 9 a.m. on July 7 and 8. The entry fee is $5 or $15 for a family.

"This year is the 68th annual show," said show Chairman Mike Marias. "It's our main fundraiser and in Bath we don't have any other fundraiser."

Equestrians come to compete in different shows, such as dressage, jumping classes and more. Marias said there are usually 70 shows and prizes are given to the riders who perform best.

Champion and Reserve Champion titles will be awarded to the two horses with the most points in Walk-Trot Cross Rails, Low, Novice and Children’s Hunter Division, in the local show on Sunday.
