Bath, Area Residents Walk for a Cure at Relay for Life

The annual fundraiser encourages people to walk and donate money to find a cure for cancer

Saturday, the track at was more than a track. It was a path to a cure for cancer. 

The annual Relay for Life walk and fundraiser invited anyone who has had or has been affected by cancer to take a step toward the cure. 

It's a very emotional event, especially with the luminaria ceremony and survivor lap said Bonnie Parker, co-chair of the event.

"Everyone is here for a different reason but everyone has been touched by cancer at some point unfortunately," she said.

We stopped some people on the track and asked why it was improtant for them to come to the 18-hour event.
