Bike for the Fight

Join the Shaw JCC as we host Tom Peled for a community bike ride!

From August 1st to October 24th, Israeli athlete Tom Peled will undertake a cancer fundraising effort called BIKE FOR THE FIGHT (BFF), cycling from Los Angeles to New York. BFF will raise money for the Israel Cancer Research Fund (ICRF), a North American organization founded in 1975 that gives grants to top Israeli cancer researchers located in leading scientific institutions across Israel. The recipients of ICRF funds, which include Nobel P...rize winners, have been engaged in groundbreaking research that has resulted in the development of life-saving achievements, such as early diagnostic devices and new drugs for leukemia, bone marrow cancer, breast and ovarian cancer, among others.

Join the JCC and Tom Peled on Sunday, September 30 for a family-friendly community bike ride.

Time: Arrive-11am, Ride-11:30am, Buffet Lunch-12:30-2:00pm
Distance: 10-miles
Cost: $10 per person, $25 max per family (cost includes the ride and a buffet meal at Spaghetti Warehouse)
Ages: All ages are welcome! (An adult must accompany riders under 16 years of age)
