Revere School Board Approves Sale of 57 Acres of District Property

The Revere School Board OK'd selling the property for about $10,000 less than what it was purchased for in 1997.

The Revere Board of Education approved selling 57-acres of school district property at the southeast corner of North Hametown and Everett Roads for $725,000.

The district purchased the land in 1997 for $735,312, according to the district treasurer.

Edward Kuchar Sr. and Frances E. Kuchar bought the land.

The board voted lasts week 4-1. Board member George Seifert cast the dissenting vote because he wanted the board to get a better price for the land, according to the Akron Beacon Journal.

The sale should close June 6. It is not known what the new property owners plan to do with the land.
