Copley-Fairlawn Plans November Renewal Levy

Item on Nov. 8 ballot would replace expiring 2006 levy

Copley-Fairlawn City Schools plans to put a renewal levy initiative on the Nov. 8 election ballot.

The Board of Education voted unanimously Tuesday night to pass the first reading of a continuous, 2.0 mill levy. The board will need to vote on a second reading, likely at its July 19 regular meeting, for it to appear on the ballot.

The levy would replace a previous 5-year levy that was passed by voters on May 2, 2006, said district Treasurer .
