Aaron Sable Named Copley High Principal for 2012-13 School Year

Sable previously served as CHS principal before being promoted to assistant superintendent.

Aaron Sable is back in the saddle as principal for the 2012-13 school year. Sable, who is also the district's assistant superintendent, will wear both hats until the Copley-Fairlawn school board finds a replacement.

The school board accepted Sable's appointment at Tuesday's meeting and had no qualms about having him fill the position, as he has held it before.

The school board to fill the position, but within five hours of accepting,

"When you're that late in the game, you want to choose an experienced person to fill the position," Superintendent Brian Poe said of Sable's appointment. "You want someone with knowledge of the curriculum, finances and scheduling. Aaron offers that."

Sable said he is looking forward to taking the reigns again.

"It's great because I'll be filling two roles," Sable said. "I'll get to work with the staff at the high school and all the administrators."

Sable said he also looks forward to working with the high school's supportive parents.

"My focus has always been student success," he said. "With the team we have at the high school and the supportive parents, we're going to continue to accomplish that."

Copley-Fairlawn City Schools starts the 2012-13 school year on Thursday.
