Here's what you need to know about the volleyball star.

Leading up to graduation, we'll feature the Copley High and seniors who will be speaking at commencement. On the day of graduation, we'll feature their profiles again, as well as publish their speeches.

Both schools graduate on June 3 at 2 p.m.

Our first profile is on Student Council President Micki Gallien. Micki is heading off to West Point Military Academy in New York to study political science.

P: What are you looking forward to in moving on to college?

M: It's going to be something different and a big change. I'll be able to see what I can really do on my own.

P: What advice would you give to underclassmen?

M: High school is going to go so fast. Be as involved in everything as much as possible. When you get to the end, it's like you realize you didn't do anything.

P: What was your favorite high school class?

M: AP English and AP U.S. History.

P: What clubs or extracurriculars were you involved in?

M: Student council, National Honor Society, I interned with the Red Cross to help recruit for a blood drive, and I was the assistant coach for junior Olympic volleyball.

P: What are some of your high school accomplishments?

M: I had a 4.0 (GPA) all four years, and I was on the all-conference all-district volleyball team for four years.

P: Tell us a fun fact about you.

M: I am deathly afraid of mayonnaise. It's the devil's spawn. I have accidentally tried it when they put it on my burgers, and it's just gross. I hate it when people eat it and it gets to the corner of their mouth and stays there.
