Michael: I'll miss seeing all of my close friends because none of them are following me to Pittsburgh. They're going off to other colleges.

P: What are you looking forward to in moving on to college?

M: I look forward to the new challenges that await me. High school has its own challenges because it's a new style of learning compared to middle and elementary school. College will be the same way. You're more on your own and the opportunities are very vast. There are so many things you can get into and so many ways you can take it. It's going to be a blast to go through that and make a name for myself.

P: What advice would you give to underclassmen?

M: Try and get active. If you're going to do any clubs and sports, start them freshmen year because the longer you are a part of the clubs the easier taking harder classes with them will be. Being part of the club in your freshman year is the easiest of all because the course work is easier. It's not as strenuous as junior and senior year. Being in sports and clubs from the beginning forms better habits for getting work done.

P: What was your favorite high school class?

M: Chemistry. The teacher was great and when we did labs and experiments that was always fun.

P: What clubs or extracurriculars were you involved in?

M: Boys baseball, boys golf and student council.

P: What are some of your high school accomplishments?

M: I maintained 4.0 GPA all through school. I lettered twice in baseball and golf. The University of Pittsburgh is giving me full tuition and at Copley I won the student council scholarship, outstanding scholar athlete award and scholarship and the Paul and Alice Bittner Scholarship. In Senior Superlatives, I was voted Most Likely to Succeed.

P: Tell us a fun fact about you.

M: My favorite color is plaid and whenever I get a new pair of shoes, I wear them to bed for one night.
