Stewart's Caring Place: Cancer Wellness Center's 6th Annual Hope Walk will be held on Saturday, May 12 at the Fairlawn Community Center.

Stewart’s Caring Place: Cancer Wellness Center’s 6th Annual Hope Walk will be held on Saturday, May 12 in Fairlawn. Proceeds from the Hope Walk make it possible for Stewart’s Caring Place to provide programs and support services, free-of-charge, to those touched by cancer in Summit, Medina, Stark, Portage and Wayne counties.

The Hope Walk is a 2.3 mile walk starting and ending at Fairlawn Community Center, Bicentennial Park, 3486 S. Smith Road in Fairlawn. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. and the walk starts at 9:15 a.m. Interested walkers can register online here for $15, by picking up a brochure at Stewart’s Caring Place, or on walk day for $20.

”The annual Hope Walk is truly an inspiring event,” said Sally Oneacre, the Hope Walk committee chair. “I was so touched by the way the walkers supported each other; it was such an uplifting event with the whole community coming together,” she says of the 2011 Hope Walk.
