Annual Holiday Arts & Crafts Boutique to Benefit Stewart's Caring Place: Cancer Wellness Center

Purchase unique holiday gifts while benefiting Stewart's Caring Place: Cancer Wellness Center.

The annual Holiday Arts and Crafts Boutique will be held on Saturday, Nov. 3 from 10am-4pm at the Fairlawn Community Center located at 3486 S. Smith Road. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Stewart’s Caring Place: Cancer Wellness Center.

This year’s event will be filled with new artists, with exciting, unique gift ideas for the holidays. Flower art, handcrafted wood carvings, jewelry, stained glass, and so much more! All items are handmade and are sure to please any wish list. Plus, the artists donate a portion of their earnings to Stewart’s Caring Place to help the organization continue offering its support services and programs at no cost to those in need.

Rosemary Federico, dedicated Stewart’s volunteer, is organizing the event for the second year. The event is a community fundraiser put-on and staffed by volunteers. In 2011 it was unknown if the event would continue, but Federico had a special place in her heart for the event, and was thrilled to have the opportunity to plan it.

“I came to know Stewart’s through the boutique, and I’ve participated in it for years,” she said. “When they needed someone to step-up and organize it last year, I was more than happy to get involved.”

Federico also volunteered on the Butterfly Gala auction committee for 2012, and has agreed to serve on the planning committee again for 2013. She also participates in the annual Hope Walk, raising money for Stewart’s and creating a team of walkers.

It’s not too late to register as a vendor for the Boutique. Contact Federico at rosemary626@hotmail.com; 330.434.8707.
