You Said It: How Do You Feel About Guns in Bars, Restaurants and Other Public Places?
Ohio law to allow concealed-carry permit owners to pack heat in bars.
The Ohio legislature recently passed a concealed-carry gun law that now allows qualified gun owners to bring their weapons into bars, restaurants and publis places such as sports stadiums, with certain restrictions applying.
Senate Bill 17, which Gov. John Kasich signed last week, does allow establishments to enforce their own bans on guns, including for concealed-carry permit holders.
The law, which takes effect in about 90 days, requires that carriers not be under the influence of alchol or other drugs and don't drink while carrying a weapon.

In light of this, Patch asked folks in Fairlawn and Bath what they thought about this change in state law. In the statehouse, the vote was divided by party line. In public, our small sample found people pretty evenly divided about the issue.
