He's new to the Bath Fire Department, but not to its members.

"Tim was my captain for a long time in the Falls," Fire Chief Walt Hower said.

Lombardi, a 33-year firefighter and father of four, retired last year, giving him more time to devote to Bath Township.

Since leaving Cuyhoaga Falls, Lombardi has also gone through training as a ranger for the national park system, according to Hower.

"Tim's going to bring some experience in a lot of operations," Hower said.
