More Road, Bridge Repairs Coming to Bath Township

Several roads and bridges will be repaired this spring and summer.

As soon as the first sign of spring arrives (even though we never really had a winter), those orange barrels will be out in full force.

In Bath Township, barrels are already lining the Ghent Road bridge over Interstate 77 and soon they'll be lining the other bridges in the township.

At Monday's Bath Trustees meeting, Township Administrator Bill Snow said the Martadale bridge will close for 60 days starting March 12. The Ghent Road bridge will be down to two lanes all summer as soon as the weather is nice enough to re-stripe the lanes.

Trustees approved allocating $25,000 to the Everett Road bridge project to add 2 feet on each side for safer foot traffic. Snow said Richfield Village and the county will also contribute.
