Fairlawn Council, Bath Trustees to Approve Budgets Tonight

Fairlawn City Council and Bath Township Trustees meet Monday night.

Both Fairlawn City Council and Bath Township Trustees will meet tonight to approve their city/township budgets.

By state law, the year's budgets must be approved by the end of March.

Fairlawn's budget is 0.63 percent higher this year than last because of raises and promotions, said Mayor William Roth.

Bath's budget is 1 percent higher because of carry-over balances, said Township Administrator William Snow.

• Establishing May 19 as Fairlawn Clean Up and Beautification Day; and

• Passing a resolution opposing statewide centralized tax collection
