Free Shredding Days

If you're (figuratively, of course) sitting on a a pile on no-longer-needed paper you don't know what to do with, Patch has an idea. Spend a few hours this weekend gathering up your old mail, bills, and other unwanted paper -- the county is willing to dispose of it for you confidentially and free!

Saturday, June 11, the Summit/Akron Solid Waste Management Authority is offering free shredding and recycling of confidential documents to residents and businesses. The limit is 10 files boxes or shopping bags. All you need to do is bring it to the Fairlawn Service Department.

Please remove and reuse binder clips, rubber bands, binders, paper clips, report covers and hanging files. The free service is for Summit County residents only.
