AMATS Citizens Involvement Committee (CIC)

A public meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m., Thursday, March 17 at the Fairlawn Kiwanis Community Center located at 3486 S. Smith Road in Fairlawn to discuss local and regional transportation issues. 

This meeting of the Citizens Involvement Committee of AMATS will include discussion regarding the draft Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) Projects List for Fiscal Years 2012 through 2015.  The TIP is the Greater Akron area’s four-year schedule of highway, public transit, and bicycle and pedestrian improvements totaling over $658 million.

The committee will also discuss the draft 2010 Existing Congestion Study.  This study measures the existing level of traffic congestion on the area’s roadways and intersections.
