Candidate Statement:

As a parent of four young children (Jarrad-8, Ashley-6, Emily-5, Joshua-4) and an involved member of the community, I have a vested interest in the school system.  With all of the changes that are being made to the funding of our schools, my goal is to be an active participant in helping Copley-Fairlawn School District set the standard for excellence in education, not just measure up to.  I can bring an invaluable set of skills to the school board; extensive contract negotiations, cost efficiency, and fiscal responsibility to help insure responsible spending within the school district.  If elected, my top three priorities are (1) Ensure fiscal responsibility - utilizing tax dollars most efficiently (2) Increase community engagement  (3) Improve the trust level between teachers, administrators, parents, community, and the school board.   Community members desire a good school district whether or not they have children who are currently attending schools. Promoting partnerships between the schools and the community will provide adequate academics and social support for our students.
