City Council Preview:14 Mayoral Appointments to Boards, Commissions
Council meeting set for 6:30 tonight at Fairlawn City Hall.
Fairlawn City Council will meet at 6:30 tonight at to vote on items which include confirmations of Mayor William Roth's appointments and reappointments of 14 citizens to the following boards and commissions:
- Planning Commission – Julie Sipka
- Board of Zoning and Building Appeals – John Carpas
- Parks and Recreation Board – Beth Hofacker
- Civil Service Commission – Deborah Shifrin and Mark Ludwig
- Environmental Services Commission – Geary Visca and Anthony Livick
- Archives and Artifacts Historical Commission – Elizabeth Sandwick and Anthony Adams
- Real Property Maintenance Board – Derrick Ransom
- Residential Housing Assistance Board – Laurie Freedman, Mike Masters, Fred Zumpano and Ernest Staten
Council also will consider:
- Ordinances amending the current collective bargaining agreements between the city and the Fraternal Order of Police, Ohio Labor Council Inc.; the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local 436; the Ohio Patrolmen's Benevolent Association; the IAFF Local 4164 and other employee representatives.
- Ordinances amending the 2010 measures which authorized just west of Sawgrass Drive and just east of the Copley Place retirement living center.
- An ordinance appointing John Sellars, recently retired service director, to the part-time, at-will unclassified position of special projects director in the service department.
