Bath Township Oil and Gas Drilling Meeting Postponed

officials and Friends of Yellow Creek had planned to host an informational meeting about gas and oil drilling tonight, but it has been postponed.

Many Bath Township residents have been approached by companies interested in the mineral rights to their properties, and before they signed any agreements, Township Administrator Bill Snow said he wanted to educate residents on both sides of the issue.

The Division of Mineral Resources of the Ohio Department of Natural Resources was going to have representatives at the meeting, but they informed the township that they could not attend tonight's meeting and asked township officials to reschedule.

The new date will be announced soon.
