Bath Township Makes it More Convenient for Residents to Recycle

Township opens recycling center in the Bath Elementary School parking lot.

Bath residents have been requesting a more convenient way to recycle for quite some time and in October, the responded with a recycling collection center located in theparking lot.

The collection center gives schools, businesses and residents who do not have curbside recycling the opportunity to recycle items.

To pay for the project, the township saved grant monies it had received from the Summit Akron Solid Waste Management Authority over the past three years. "This money was saved to the specific purpose of providing a recycling center," according to a written statement from Township Administrator William Snow. "No tax or school levy money was used for the project."

The location was chosen in cooperation with Revere Schools. The township requests that residents respect the safety and educational atmosphere of the school and to use the center outside of school hours only.
