Woman Shoplifts from Coach and Victoria's Secret, But is Tripped Up by $11 Novelty Item
The following information was provided by the Fairlawn Police Department
A shoplifter at Summit Mall had a successful spree May 28 -- until she tried to pocket some novelty items at Spencer Gifts.
A report said the woman was observed putting a purse into her own purse, and a deck of playing cards into her pocket.
The items were valued at $11.
After police were called, the woman admitted to also stealing from Coach, Victoria's Secret, Bath And Body and American Eagle, the report said.
All the items were recovered and returned to the stores.
Spencer Gifts said it would prosecute the Akron woman for the theft.
