Woman Harassed by Loose Pitbull While Walking Dog on Rickel Drive

Information provided by the Bath Township Police Department.

A woman was walking her dog in the 2200 block of Rickel Drive on July 31 when a pitbull ran up and "attacked" her, according to a report.

The dog didn't actually hurt the woman, but was barking and growling, the report said. When police arrived, the dog charged at the officer, but when the officer cracked his stun gun, the dog ran to the back of the house.

The dog approached the officer several more times before finally running through a hole in the backyard fence of the residence. A neighbor and the officer worked to board the hole while they waited for the dog warden.
