Video: Shooting Suspect Fired At Police

Before he was killed by police gunfire, the Copley shooting suspect killed seven people.

Police have not released the identities of the gunman and the seven other people who were shot to death in Copley this morning. One person survived and remains hospitalized.
Police are working to notify their families of the tragedy before they go public with their names.
Copley Police Chief Michael Mier said two 9-1-1 phone calls were made alerting police to the shooting spree.
The first call came in at 10:56 a.m. with the caller reporting gunshots fired on Goodenough Avenue. In a second call, police said a woman reported that her boyfriend was involved in the shooting.
Neighbors said visitors from Kentucky were among the victims.
Police from Copley, Akron and the Summit County Sheriff's Department are still in the neighborhood recovering evidence from four crime scenes on Schocalog Road and Goodenough Avenue. Bath Police and Fairlawn Police are helping in the investigation.
