U.S. Marshals Looking for Man Who Robbed High School Student at Gunpoint

Marvin Mitchell is the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force's fugitive of the week

The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force is offering a reward for information that leads to the capture of fugitive Marvin Mitchell.

Mitchell is wanted by the U.S. Marshals and the Lakewood Police Department for 
aggravated robbery. Mitchell is also wanted by the Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Office for escape and the Adult Parole Authority for a parole violation. 

Mitchell is accused, with three other males, of attempting to rob a high school student in Lakewood who was walking home. Mitchell pointed a handgun at the victim and demanded money and his cell phone. 

When the victim refused, Mitchell beat him with the gun. The victim threw his cell phone to the ground. After Mitchell grabbed the phone, he and the other three males fled on bicycles. 

Three of the four were caught a short time later but Mitchell remains at large. 

Authorities believe Mitchell was shot a few weeks ago and may be injured. 

Mitchell is a 23, about 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighs. He has black hair and brown eyes. 

Mitchell frequents the east side of Cleveland and East Cleveland. He is known to hang out on Euclid Avenue between Shaw and Noble. He also has a 
previous address near the 16000 block of Elderwood Avenue in Cleveland.
