Uh Oh -- Woman Looks Outside to See Man in Her Car: Police Blotter

The following information was provided by the Fairlawn Police Department

A woman working at Dial America on West Market Street looked out the window June 23 and got a bit of a surprise -- she saw a man getting out of her car.

She and other employees called 911 and ran to the parking lot in time to see the suspect running away.

They checked her car, which had been unlocked, and found the steering column damaged and her GPS missing.

Employee Theft

An employee at J.B. Robinson Jewelers faces charges after a routine inventory showed one-carat earrings worth $1,899 and a $200 white gold chain were missing.

The employee not only admitted to the thefts, but was wearing the items during an interview, a report said.

Felony theft charges were filed for those two items, with more likely to follow for other previous thefts.
