Thousands in Jewelry Stolen from 2 Olentangy Drive Homes in Same Day

Two homes in the 2400 block of Olentangy Drive were burglarized some time between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. on April 27, according to

In the first home, suspects busted out a sliding glass door and stole several pieces of silver and gold jewelry, valued around $20,000, Chief Michael McNeely said.

However, the suspects left two aluminum baseball bats in the residence.

In the second house, the suspects forced open a back window. McNeely said jewelry was stolen, but he didn't know the value.

McNeely said the burglaries are related and are similar to burglaries that happened that same day in Fairlawn and Copley. The department is following up on several leads.
