Theft Nets Man a Lifetime Ban From Dillard's Stores

An unemployed Akron man has been “banned for life” from all Dillard’s stores after getting busted for shoplifting $204 worth of clothing from at .
On Aug. 6, an off-duty officer working security at the store watched as the man, 47, entered a changing room with a number of men’s garments and an empty bag.
After exiting the booth, the suspect left the store with what appeared to be clothing concealed in the bag, police said.

The officer stopped the suspect outside the store, where he admitted to taking the men’s clothing items valued at $204.
The man was arrested, charged with misdemeanor theft and released with a summons to appear in Akron Municipal Court.

The clothing was retained by the store, whose manager banned the man from Dillard’s “for life.”
