The following information was provided by the Bath Township Police Department
Someone apparently came along and grabbed an Aegean Drive man's purchase before he could get to it.
A report said FedEx delivered a GPS watch between 10 a.m. and noon July 2, hanging it in a plastic bag from the mailbox.
The package was gone when the resident went to bring it in. Amazon reimbursed him for the loss, a report said.
Plans Go Boom
Fireworks brought police to Cleveland-Massillon Road about 9 p.m. July 4.
But officers discovered illegal fireworks was the lesser of the resident's issues. The man was wanted on an active warrant from Bath for failing to pay fines on a charge of receiving stolen property.
He was arrested and issued a summons.
Expensive Theft
A woman stole three purses valued at $750 from DSW, a report said.
The store reported the theft July 3. No one saw it take place, but employees spotted it later on surveillance tapes.
Another Big Theft
A man loaded up a cart with $448 in merchandise at Acme July 3, then tried to leave the store with it.
When he was caught, he gave police the wrong Social Security number to try to hide the fact he was wanted by Medina County on a felony warrant for a probation violation after a heroin trafficking charge.
He was arrested for theft and obstructing official business before being turned over to the Medina County sheriff.
