Reports of a man pulling on car door handles sent police to the Holiday Inn about 5 a.m. March 15.

They arrived to find a man matching the suspect's description at Motel 6.

He was arrested for criminal mischief.

No Theft

A Bath resident told police someone took 15 watches from a dresser drawer, and suspected contractors who had been working at the house.

Police asked for a list of the stolen watches, as well as everyone who had been in the house in recent weeks.

The crime was solved, though, when the resident found the watches elsewhere in the house -- misplaced, not stolen.
