Starbucks Customer Attempts Fake Return, Lies to Police

Information provided by the Bath Township Police Department.

On April 20, a woman walked into the , grabbed two coffee presses off the shelf and tried to return them, according to Bath Police. When the employees refused to complete the return without a receipt, the Barberton woman left the store and drove away.

The woman at a nearby gas station and pulled her aside. Police said she provided them with a false name and social security number several times before actually giving them her real name.

She eventually admitted to attempting the fake return and police charged her with obstructing official business, failure to reinstate license and expired plates.

She was released at the scene with a court summons.
