Second Theft Reported at Croghan Park: Police Blotter

The following information was provided by the Fairlawn Police Department

For the second time in about a week, an item was stolen from someone playing basketball at Croghan Park, according to police reports.

A dad reported Sept. 26 that his son's iPod was taken from a bag while the youth played basketball at the park.

A report said the $200 iPod was left in a drawstring bag on a bench near the court between 4:30 and 7:45 p.m.

The players didn't see anyone near the bag during that time.

On Sept. 18, a similar theft was reported by an East Liverpool man who stopped by the park after work to shoot some hoops.

The man told police he set his duffel bag on the ground next to the court while he played in the late afternoon.

He didn't see anyone go near the bag, but when he checked about 6:45, his $500 iPhone was missing from inside.
