Sam's Club Employee Fired, Arrested For Stealing Cash

The following information was supplied by the Fairlawn Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A employee was fired and arrested Dec. 22 for stealing $220 from the cash register during his shift several days earlier.

An asset protection manager at the store reported the theft, which occurred around 8 p.m. Dec. 19, to on Dec. 22.

Police said the manager reviewed security surveillance footage from Dec. 19 and saw the male employee remove one $100 bill and six $20 bills from the cash register. The 20-year-old employee, a Cuyahoga Falls resident, then folded the money, placed it in his left hand and walked away from the register.
