Road Rage Incident Ends in Violence: Police Blotter

The following information was provided by the Bath Township Police Department

Bath police are looking for a man who reportedly smashed a woman's mirror and window during a road rage incident.

A woman in her 50s told police she was driving north on I-77 about 7:25 a.m. June 27 when a young man in a silver Volvo started weaving in and out of traffic.

He tailgated her until he could get into the next lane. Then he came alongside her car and, while driving, used his fist to smash her passenger-side mirror.

The woman got off at Ghent Road and, while waiting for the light in the left lane,  saw the man in the Volvo in the right lane.

He saw her, too, and got out. She locked her car doors, but wasn't fast enough to roll up her window, which was down about an inch.

A report said the man stuck his fingers into the window, called the woman a derogatory name and then broke the driver's side window, spraying glass into the car and all over the woman.

The victim got a partial license plate number police are trying to match with the suspect's car.
