Police Brief: Bath Township -- Search Continues for Suspected Burglar

The following arrest information was supplied by the Bath Township police department. It does not indicate a conviction."

Bath Police, are still looking for a man who wrecked a stolen SUV early Monday.

said officers were called to on Cleveland-Massillon Road at about 5 a.m. to investigate a burglary.

Witnesses described the man was scruffy looking, in this 20s, white,  6'1" 180 lbs. He was dressed in a khaki T-shirt and khaki cargo pants.

A Revere Drive man told police he saw the intruder in his garage.

A woman said the man asked for a cookie and claimed to be diabetic.

According to police, the man drove a stolen SUV through a Montrose neighborhood before crashing the vehicle into a tree at Yellow Creek Road and Yellow Creek lane. He was last seen in the wooded area north of Foxwood Drive.

About three dozen officers searched for the alleged burglar Monday without success.
