Old Navy Nabs Trio of Shoplifters

The information below was provided by the Bath Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A security officer at called at 6:06 p.m. Dec. 15 to report that he was watching three young women in the store picking out miscellaneous clothing items and concealing them in their purses.

A Bath officer stopped the women – ages 18, 20 and 21 – at their car parked outside the store. After being read their rights by police, the three women admitted to the thefts.

All three were arrested for theft and possession of criminal tools, which are misdemeanors, and taken to the Bath Police Department for processing. The women who are ages 20 and 21 were released with summons to appear in court on the charges.

The 18-year-old had an outstanding warrant issued by , so she was turned over to an officer from that department at 9 p.m.
